Jandy Hardesty’s review published on Letterboxd:
Three soldiers meet a guy in a bar, the guy gets dead, and it's up to detective Robert Young to figure out which of the soldiers is telling the truth about who killed him. It's basically a supporting part for Robert Mitchum, but he makes it memorable, as does the rest of the very noir-ish case, including a young Gloria Grahame. Apparently anti-Semitism was on the brain in 1947 (see also: Gentleman's Agreement), and it's treated pretty well here for the crime thriller that this is. Solid and very entertaining.
