Jandy Hardesty’s review published on Letterboxd:
Little wonder I'd love a Joss Whedon version of Much Ado About Nothing (one of my favorite Shakespeare plays) filled with favorite Whedon stock cast members. The modernizing works well, mostly because it's pretty simple and nonchalant. Amy Acker KILLS Beatrice - I loved everything she did with the character. Alexis Denisof took a bit longer to warm up as Benedick, I thought, but by the time he was (awkwardly) trying to wow and unimpressed Beatrice with his physical prowess, I was totally on board. And Nathan Fillion as Dogberry. I just love that man.
They're all clearly having a ton of fun with this, and it was kind of like getting to watch as a bunch of cool people acted out a Shakespeare play in their house for fun.
