Letterboxd — Your life in film

Per rule #3 of double gravity, Jim Sturgess' semen should be starting brush fires in Kirsten Dunst's vagina.

The initial call is done really well, and for a minute you'd be forgiven for thinking director Brad Anderson survived the move into studio films... but then it all turns to so much garbage. Everyone here is idiotic from the killer to the 911 operator, and potential suspense is replaced with very real stupidity.

Stealthily engaging doc about three teens dealing with life, broken homes, foreclosures, relationships, broken skateboards and the utter fallacy of the church. Sadly, it's that last one that they fail to actually recognize.

It's like the film makers gathered all the complaints people have about found footage movies and then made a film featuring nothing but those issues.

And if Evan isn't the most annoying lead character in cinema history I don't know who is.

Infuriating, powerful, hopeful.

Supes' two dads work well here, as do the flashbacks to a young Clark Kent, but the last 45 minutes or so is just a lot of dumb and dull noise.

An incredibly poor script with no understanding of how real people act is paired with Paul Walker's acting which does the already generic presentation no favors.

Just because Jack is one-fifteenth the size of the giants shouldn't mean he has one-fifteenth their charisma.

A doc about the making of a porno by first-time filmmakers, this behind the scenes glimpse offers up lessons and laughs along the way.

The Dove liquid detergent as come substitute is a nice touch.

Some scenes and elements to love here, but an overlong runtime (by at least 30 minutes) holds it well back from greatness.
