Jake Musselman’s review:
Noah Baumbach had caught my eye fairly recently with his 1995 debut Kicking and Screaming, now being one of my all time favorite films. His most recent film Greenberg also became one of my favorites of 2010, but I'm just now catching up on everything in between the two. Margot at the Wedding is a dark and comedic look at an incredibly dysfunctional family. The main cast brings some of their best performances, with Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Jason Leigh playing sisters that are equally irritating as they are interesting. Overall, Margot at the Wedding is the intelligent, sharply written movie I've come to expect from Baumbach.
