It’s a shame the film wasn’t 30 minutes or less.

Maybe it was a good thing expecting nothing from this film. I was pleasantly surprised by it. Too be honest Aziz Ansari is this films star, without him it would be terrible. The plot is decent enough, never doing anything unexpected but never dragging. This is a movie that will not live long in the memory but if your looking to kill 90 minutes you could do a lot worse.

Film #21 of No Rewatch November
What a letdown. Consistently over-the-top and extremely unfunny. Everyone was trying so hard and almost every attempt at making a joke hurt me.

Danny McBride, you either love him or you hate him. And whilst he (and Natalie Portman's arse) couldn't rescue the abysmal Your Highness, he does have his moments in this movie.
It's not perfect, some of the gags aren't great (and sometimes you wait a while before your next laugh), but it's worth watching for those little moments that really are laugh out loud funny.
"Drop your guns!"
<guy with flamethrower> "I have a backpack on and stuff, can I just point it at the ground?"
Stupid. Non-sensical fun.

Director Ruben Fleischer demonstrates that Zombieland was little more than a fluke by producing this mind numbingly terrible comedy about a pizza delivery guy who is forced to rob a bank. To quote a review from Time’s Richard Corliss: “For a soul-sucking 83 minutes, you’re trapped inside the film’s tiny, ugly mind”. Just awful. It’s rubbish like this that is driving people away from the theaters.

As a connoisseur of bad but good because they're bad comedies I really enjoyed this film. Some genuine laughs, Azil classic lines and expected over the top shenanigans. Wouldn't rewatch but it forfilled its purpose perfectly.

I tend to rate comedies based on how many times it gets me laughing out loud. It's entirely possible for me to find a movie mildly funny without ever once laughing out loud. This movie got me a few times, and quite a few times less than I would have expected.
Not completely terrible, but really not great.

I think something's wrong with me. If you asked me before I watched films like Hall Pass, Your Highness, or 30 Minutes or Less, I probably would've told you they weren't going to be any good based on critic and fan reactions alike. Yet I've enjoyed all of them, popular opinion be damned. In the case of 30 Minutes or Less, there's a high suspension of disbelief required to enjoy the film, but once I got over all that, I really enjoyed it. It's a quick and fun follow up to Ruben Fleischer's Zombieland (though not nearly as good; I'm eagerly anticipating Zombieland 2) that doesn't need much setup or explanation to enjoy the proceedings onscreen. Plus, I enjoyed the entire cast, although Aziz Ansari needs a little more work because it looked like he was performing stand-up rather than acting half of the time. In any case, 30 Minutes or Less is a fun ride.

I think Reuben Fleischer's film get worse as time progresses..

Just saw '30 Minutes or Less'. It's the exact same amount of awesome as it looks in the trailer. Take that as you will. (I loved it)

Not too bad. It starts out a bit slow, but that's mainly because the movie is trying to set up the story. Once the actual robbery kicks in, it gets really funny. I haven't seen a comedy in a long time, so I don't have much to compare it to. I don't see much replay value in it though, sadly. I really liked Eisenberg's performance though, I love almost anything he does that doesn't involve Facebook.
