WARNING: This review contains a lot of fucking swearing.

Maybe I'm emotionally retarded or something but I utterly despise this film: for me, this is my cinematic version of hell, for others it's hipster heaven. I love Joseph Gordon Levitt, he's an outstanding character actor who always defies being typecast but as Tom, all I saw him as was a self-absorbed sap who idiotically risks his own professional and personal life on a woman who is clearly a cunt right…

It took about 32 minutes for me to think that I was REALLY starting to hate (500) Days Of Summer.

It was the bit with Han Solo in the car window, for the record. In fairness, it was about 25 minutes longer than I expected to last before I started to hate it. On the whole, though, watching (500) Days Of Summer was a massively confusing experience for me. I think if this had been released 15 years ago when…

Wow, Summer was a bitch. Sorry, but if you saw the film, you know how much of a bitch she was.

Nonetheless, this film is just wonderful. Amazing performances from Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel (even if she does play a bitch) and they have fantastic chemistry. You believe their relationship and even if Deschanel plays a bitch, you can understand why Levitt loves her with all his heart no matter how many times she stomps on it. This relationship…

I can honestly say that this is the perfect movie to watch right after being dumped and having your heart broken. There is no film that helps more than (500) Days of Summer.

Putting (stuff in) parenthesis doesn't automatically make (you come across) as quirky, different and (incredibly hip).

Tries far too hard to be different and only succeeds in annoying me from start to finish. He is a stupid git, she an unbelievable bitch. That's all I took from it.

Guess what.

    (500) Days Of Summer is one of those films that divides Letterboxders. For some it is a quirky, witty story of unrequited love and heartache. For others it plays as a contrived and cliched farce.
Sorry,Adam,Steve G and some others but it is a personal favourite of mine and I maintain it has those same feel-good moments so reminiscent of Almost Famous. Joseph Gordon-Levitt steps up to the plate to get his heart stamped on and I've met women like Summer.(when…

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel where simply awesome. How can someone not like this ? The chemistry between the character, screen-play and direction was great. The way the story is told is really impressive.

This one of my favorite films of all time. The movie somehow reminds me of someone i know.

    Dear (500) Days of Summer,

I saw Annie Hall too, so you can't fool me with your ultimately hollow affectations and aspirations.

    Love,

A friend of mine recommended this to me saying that "it's better than The Prestige". Yeah, alright mate...

If you are going to make a film that's a 'love story that's not a love story', try and just show us that in the film without having the most annoying narrator in the history of annoying narrators tell us right at the start of the film and then proceed to turn up at random moments and deliver completely unnecessary and pointless…

The great black hole of acting that is Zooey Deschanel strikes again, mercilessly. I won't even go into details on this one. JGL needs to be slapped for doing this and Zooey...I don't even know, burn her at the stake.

I smirked twice during the movie but both times are negated by the sheer terror that is the very last line.
