First time I watched this I shut it off as soon as the dog started talking, but I'm glad I powered through this time. Don Johnson is the boy and the dog is the dog. Through a bunch of low-budget post-apocalyptic nonsense, they find civilization, or at least a fascimile of it. The last vestiges of society are a ghost town. Everyone there is wearing corpse paint and pretending they're experiencing life. The Boy might be an amoral shithead but…

i do love a good post apocalyptic film, it might be my favourite sub genre when it’s done right. films like the road, i am legend, mad max 4 and the walking dead i adore but this is not one of them films.
the first half is spent on the dog helping the guy find a woman to rape because somehow thats more valuable to him than food and water.

There are plenty of glaring flaws and subjective nitpicks to kvetch about, and there is definitely a better film in the editing room. But if you consider the its extremely limited budget, it’s amazing that this was produced at all. Quite a lot is left up to… -

Short Review:
Ambitious and probably capturing the spirit of its source material decently well, at least at first. But the characters, the humor and the later portions in general weren't for me.Long Review (Spoilers):
2024 A.D., huh ? Needless to say I wasn't aware of that before checking this one out today. In fact I had never heard about it before and just came across it on the internet. I was intrigued enough to give it a go and…
