Three rogues set out to rob $300,000 from an Indian-hating cavalry major.
About what you'd expect from mid-level Terence Hill. Watched this out of Leone completism - he had a hand in the script, and indeed there are lame references to his previous work dotted throughout. Even the Morricone score seems tired.
Sergie Leone produced slapstick spaghetti western..some good gags, opening sequence was directed by leone Himself and probably the best part of the movie..overall forgettable..
egy zseni, két haver, egy balek
Movie was actually not bad, but I was kind hoping that it might be better than its reputation. After all how bad can a movie with good cast, Morricone, adorable Miou-Miou, directed by Damiani (who I consider better than most of SW directors), supervised/produced/whatever by Leone and filmed in Monument Valley forcrissakes, really be?
But the problem with this movie is that it is redundant. Everything that it does has already been done. Unlike its "prequel" My Name is Nobody, it offers zero of new or interesting perspective. Even the sequence directed by Leone (yes, I have spotted it before I have read it was done by him), feels like Leone-by-the-numbers.
Still, you can do worse on a Sunday afternoon.
In Norway (where I'm from) the name of this film translates to "My Name Is Still Nobody", implying that it's a sequel to "My Name Is Nobody". I don't know if it is or not, but I've always seen it that way. So compared to it's "predecessor", the film is not as serious and works more as an adventure film than a straight up western. It's still good though, by it's own right.
