Some people will think it's a tragedy that Murphy's final significant film role was a flop, but there is enough disastrous filmmaking in here to make for a good time. I saw the movie with one of my friends and by the time it was over our faces were sore because we laughed so hard. The plotline of Abandoned is ludicrous and predictable at the same time. Key characters disappear from the movie with no explanation, Murphy's makeup and hair looks like a cross between a reggae star and a clown, and poor Bogdanovich -- I have no idea what he's doing in a movie of this low calibre. Abandoned must've been shot in a handful of days on a…

Easily one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I'd say its like a TV movies but that would be an insult to TV movies.
Some of the worst acting I have ever seen, it is laughable how bad the performances are. Tragically Brittany Murphy is one of the worst thing about the film. Being this was her last leading role before her death you would of hoped she had gone out on a high. She doesn't look well throughout the whole film also.
The plot is truly woeful with the first hour being mind numbing then the big twist is revealed not only is it so predictable but it also makes no sense. The film also looks incredibly cheap, like European daytime soap cheap.
Just awful, I cannot overstate just how bad this movie is. I rarely give half a star as I feel nearly all movies have some redeeming qualities but this simply doesn't.

Passable TV movie-ish take on the Mysteriously Vanished Person subgenre of thriller, notable for being (until the release of Something Wicked later this year) Brittany Murphy's last movie before her untimely death in 2009.
Whilst for the most part it's enjoyably predictable, there was one genuinely surprising plot turn, and it's harmless enough. With the exception of a couple of nice helicopter shots at the beginning, it does however look exceedingly cheap - HD cameras are not kind to poor make up and production design.
I am beginning to suspect that all of the protagonists in thrillers and horror movies are psychopaths, because none of them seem at all bothered by the traumatic events of the last 90 minutes when the final scene rolls around. Except Marilyn Burns. This is how I'd react.

The last movie of Brittany Murphy was pretty darn good. I was glad that she actually left on a high note even though it was not highly publicized. The movie kept me guessing what was going on and was feeling a lot like she was… very confused. But it turned out good… Nice job and RIP Brittany Murphy.
