Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies
2012 Directed by Richard Schenkman
Synopsis
He emancipated the slave... he saved the union... and slaughtered the undead!
As Abraham Lincoln labors over the Gettysburg address, the importance of which he is fully aware, he learns that a menace from his past has returned, threatening to tear the already fractured nation to pieces. He must journey behind enemy lines to face an foe far more fearsome than the Confederate army: the walking dead.

A whore with a hoe. No literally, there's a whore with a hoe. Why did I watch this? Same reason as I ate out of date chicken on Monday - because my GF doesn't read labels, ironically, despite reading about 100 books a year. Emancipate that!

Schenkman delivered the film the morning it was to premiere at Chicago Fear Fest with a note that the film was only completed a few days prior to the festival. Really, this film was completed? With The Asylum it's hit or miss, usually more miss and here is no exception. It gets its television premiere in May. Skip it unless you enjoy fake beards and mustaches, poorly rendered CG and watching Lincoln say, "Emancipate this!!" as he slices the head off a zombie with his slave tool.

This might be the first Asylum film that I've seen. Woeful CG at times but even worse fake beards. I imagine they knocked this out in about 3 days.

Nach 18 Minuten bemerkt, dass das nicht "Abraham Lincoln - Vampire Hunter" ist! Gnadenlos schlechte C-Ware. Enthalte mich einer Wertung.

Somewhat watchable!

A pretty awful attempt to cash in on ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER from the Asylum. While Bill Oberst Jr. is pretty good as the zombie-decapitating Abe, it's not enough to save the film, which quickly grows boring.

Oké, Asylum... bár még a normálisabbak közül való. A sztori és a film sem lényeg végül, csak azért írok, hogy jól lebasszam a rendezőt meg gagyivúdot is.
Most komolyan, Richard Schenkman nem idevaló. A The Man form Earth valami kurvajó kis mozi volt, erre a következő filmje, 5 év után (!) ez? Sírni tudnék.

My first experience with a film from The Asylum. Not a good one, either. This is the 2nd movie of 2012 to try and mix Abraham Lincoln and horror (the other, of course, being "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter"). Both failed and both on different terms. This one has terrible acting and some of the worst fake beards and mustaches this side of the Halloween clearance bin at Wal-Mart. The zombie make up was ok, but the CGI blood and beheadings are not. And equating slavery with zombies was either a bad joke or attempting to lend some type dramatic gravity and weight to the proceedings. Half baked and underdone, leave it in the trash.
Here's hoping for "Taft vs. The Blob"...

As good as ...Vampire Hunter. Which is to say, not very.

I watched about 10 minutes before I had to leave. So terrible. Just, unbearably terrible.
-
The keyboard orchestra and cardboard moustaches show how low budget this is! Shame really, as the main guy who played Lincoln was pretty good.
-
The guy playing Lincoln is really promising and does a good job, but this is so low budget that even the moustaches look like they've been cut out of cardboard.
