When I described this film to my wife, she responded 'Sounds like a bunch of actors who should know better'. Uh-huh.

This film was weak.
I'm sorry. I had more to say about this film but just like the actors decided to mail in their performances, I decided to mail in this review.

My fellow film buffs on websites such as Mubi rarely steer me wrong, although our tastes certainly differ at times. That said, I couldn't find anything particular noteworthy about "Armored," a 2009 thriller that many action enthusiasts praised for its no-frills approach to the heist genre.
This low-budget thriller from the director of "Predators" managed to rope in several noteworthy actors - including Matt Dillon, Laurence Fishburne, Jean Reno, and Fred Ward - but the filmmakers commit the sin of giving these talented men absolutely nothing to do.
As some reviewers pointed out, this is essentially an action movie take on "Reservoir Dogs" - yet the script is not up to the task. Notice whenever an argument erupts between the…

Part of Dastardly Difficult December: film nr.26
Sometimes when you expect to dislike a film the fact that it is completely and utterly mediocre actually makes it a pleasant experience.
In essence this is just a big old ham and cheese sandwich. In an armored truck. With guns. And paint by numbers paint dripping all over it.
Good enough to keep you company for its running time.

A waste of a great cast, I was expecting this to be a solid old school B thriller, but takes its time to start, and the main character is an asshole.

Great concept, good cast, decent execution. The ending falls totally flat, but the rest is fairly solid.
Par for the course for Nimrod Antal, who hasn't made a bad movie yet, but hasn't made a truly great one either.

Pretty bad. I was actually rooting against the "good" guy the entire time. He was such a little bitch.

"Solid suspensful movie, great cast with awesome performances from Columbus Short, Matt Dillon, Laurence Fishburne, Skeet Ulrich, Jean Reno & Amaury Nolasco with good action scenes."

Pretty good little heist flick, and the trailer does throw you for a false loop on the set up. BUT...the ending was really obvious. Fred Ward's last line was too cheesy of an ending. Fishburne was an ass!

Actually it goes just around the abduction of the transporter, not more, but it was exciting.
