Steve Coogan is a cunt

Jackie Chan, Arnold Z., Jim Broadbent... good reasons to see a friday night movie. This movie requires some serious popcorn, and commitment to phasing out, then it's fun. Jacky C. does some good actin 'n fightin'. Jom Broadbent is being very versatile again... the man has quite a range of roles he can play. This time it's heavily overacting as the role requires, as it was in Moulin Rouge.. he does that well. The title of the film is the story. Don't mind that. It has nice gadgets all over, some cool action and even landscapes.China particularly is spectacular.

Another horrible Hollywood comedy for good old Jackie Chan. Made me sad.

The ultimate road movie and a kid's primer on world cultures. Jackie Chan gets his moments, Steve Coogan gets his moments, Luke and Owen Wilson have one good moment, and Arnold Schwartzenegger gets the funniest 5 min of his career. Too bad it doesn't add up to anything, but then you can probably never make a good movie from this story. Michael Palin came closest with his TV series, and even it was lame. It's not as bad as the bloated David Niven version, but Adam Sandler director Frank Coraci doesn't impress. Script by three inexperienced Davids - Titcher, Benulla, and Goldstein. Jackie Chan needs to get on the first boat to Hong Kong. Aside from Shanghai Noon, Hollywood is clueless how to handle him. I say let Tarantino direct him.

Nice adventure film for children.

It is a child movie, should be reviewed by a kid, I have never been a fan of Arnold (Except terminator). My boy 9 years of age liked this movie, as far as I could interperet he would have given the film 2,5. He mostly appreciated the fighting scenes with Jackie Chan (not my favorite either). He also seemed to like the love story and that is surprising to me. I saw the whole movie with him and I would not have given this movie a 2,5 rate. But one must consider it is a childs movie.

This review reportedly contains spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Oh, how I wish I could have seen this flick at ten years old but with my twenty three year old appreciation of Steve Coogan. I would have loved it, but then again I loved every movie at ten. It’s campy. It has silly cameos and bad graphics. All the physical humor is recycled from early Chan work. I miss you, much younger me.
