An unusual explorer named Gum (Richard Griffiths) and his kindly niece (Emilia Fox) adopt three orphans -- Pauline (Emma Watson), Petrova (Yasmin Paige) and Posy (Lucy Boynton) -- and raise them as sisters in 1930s London. But the girls must fend for themselves when Gum doesn't return from one of his adventures. Together, they nurture their passions for acting, aviation and ballet in this charming TV adaptation of Noel Streatfield's novel.

    Es una película para la TV (genialmente ambientada en los años 30), así que no se le puede pedir mucho, sólo ser amena y transmitir su mensaje. 'Ballet Shoes' cumple esas condiciones entregando un dramita con un buen mensaje para las jovencitas: trabaja duro y alcanzarás tus sueños.

    En elenco estable, una Emma Watson a la que no se le pide mucho, pero nunca le vemos como Hermione en la película, su actuación cumple. El resto del elenco igual de ameno y adorable. Y obvio si son amantes del ballet, esta es su película.

    Buena historia, excelentes actrices (realmente sólo la vi -y aguanté- por Emma), pero fue una película aburrida a mi parecer. Escenas flojas, el final es hasta molesto, poco realista... En fin, no me gustó la película, pero no tengo quejas con las actuaciones.

    It was pretty good TV Movie I never readed the book but I bet it was better then original novel the real romance between Emilia Fox and Marc Warren and Emma Watson's Blonde Hair goes well with the blue dress.
