Balls of Fury
A huge comedy with tiny balls.
Randy Daytona was a child ping pong prodigy who lost his chance at Olympic gold when his father is murdered by the mysterious Feng over a gambling debt. 15yrs later he's down on his luck and scraping a living doing seedy back room shows in Vegas; when the FBI turn up and ask for his help to take down Feng... who just happens to love Ping Pong.
This review reportedly contains spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Is there any point in reviewing this movie? Look at the poster. It's Christopher Walken, dressed as a Chinese stereotype, playing table tennis. Fucking hell. And then, you see the title. "Balls of Fury". It's funny, because it has the word "balls" in it. And it's about ping-pong. And "balls" is another word for testicles. Are you laughing yet?
To be fair, the movie doesn't (often) fall into the trap of just saying "balls" for a laugh. However, it doesn't really show much imagination otherwise. Jokes include but are not limited to:
- A blind man walking into things (despite being able to play table tennis?)
- A man being repeatedly hit with a table tennis ball until he has…
This movie ruined my life.
Literally the worst movie I have ever seen.....by far.
It is better to
Die like a tiger, than to
live like a pussy.
Balls as Fury may be one of the crudest comedies I've ever seen, but its ability to keep me laughing at every turn simply can't be denied.
I love it to death, but it's still a film about illegal underground table tennis, and yes, a bit stereotypical, but a fun (if extremely juvenile) martial arts film parody. Underrated though.
One of the worst movies I've ever paid to see. Walken, what is wrong with you?
Walken on autopilot & a very bad script almost destroy this lame, but sometimes amusing, film.
Clichéd and lacking any real laughs. This is a prime example of when good actors make bad choices. Yes I mean you Christopher Walken!!!
Funny movie with the right amount of action
Balls of Fury may not be the best comedy, but it is lots of fun despite the fact that the plot is stupid. If you're in the mood for a mindless comedy, Balls of Fury may be that comedy to watch. The jokes are funny and despite the fact that it lacks a little something to really make it a great comedy film, Balls of Fury is simply a fun film. Sure this won't win any prizes, but for what it is; it's a fun time waster that has some good laughs. Dan Fogler is pretty funny, but Christopher Walken steals the show. Overall Balls of Fury is a good comedy that is better than what people have said about…
Has a couple of very dumb and immature laughs but that's it. Definitely could have been much better.
