I really can't explain what the hell happened in this movie. Robots fix stuff, then they fuck, then they shit out robot babies..what the hell.

Watching this movie again, I was disappointed to see that it didn't hold up as well as I imagined. I loved this film as a kid, but it just didn't do it for me as an adult.

A quirky little Alien movie. Little tiny aliens invade a run down apartment building and help the residents to keep their home basically. The subplot with McRae, who is usually yelling at the top of his voice in other films, is what gives this movie it's heart. I may be a sap, but this film won me over.

Absolute classic that I loved when I was younger.

I had the pleasure of catching some of it again and it reminded me just how great it was.

Top Drawer 80s Sci-Fi. You know... Like E.T... Only better.

Try getting Steven Spielberg, Brad Bird, Matthew Robbins and Mick Garris together TODAY to make a sweet little sci-fi confection that was probably just a COCOON cash-grab (why else would Hume Cronyn & Jessica Tandy share top billing?) but ends up being an above-average family film with stellar ILM pre-CG effects. Plus, James LeGros as a thug. Killer. Sure it's a little ham & Cheese but was another example of the Amblin touch infiltrating our childhoods and inspiring a new generation of film watchers AND makers.

Nostalgia central, if this film is on, I will watch it.
