Battleship has the dubious distinction of being the first blockbuster that is actually worse than its Asylum Studios budget knock-off. The fact that rip-off, American Warships, is verging on the unwatchable illustrates just how woeful this worthless cash generator is. Yet who could have predicted that a movie based on a board game would be this weak and devoid of character? Oh, that’s right, we all did. Bad direction, awful acting and a dire script, Battleship is meant for one thing only, to cash in on the success of Hasbro's other franchise to film hopper, Transformers. Sure, if you enjoy explosions, bad dialogue ("they're not gonna' sink this Battleship..."), and Rihanna (who doesn't?!) this could of been somewhat entertaining, however as it stands not even Liam Neeson (playing the same character he portrays in every other film he's been in) could save this film. Battleship is one of the funniest films released in a while accept there's no comedy in it, the film is just a joke in itself.

This is a truly awful film. What makes this worse is that not all the characters died. I hated every character. No redeeming features at all. They all should have died. Does it really take an alien invasion to get your act together? Is this the moral I take from this?
I have very little to add to this...
