An interminable "documentary" that plays out like a college paper that someone didn't really want to write.
Like, they thought that it was gonna be fun to write about 90's teen movies from some kind of meaningful perspective. But when they started watching them, and realized that they were all, just, kind of crappy? But they slogged on to get to that 5,000 word mark, just thinking "fuck this shit" the whole time.
With clips from over 200 different movies, this was either an editor's nightmare or a wet-dream. Either way, it ain't no Chuck Workman.
Fairuza Balk narrates the entire thing like she's got a gun held to her head.
But, hey, if you love 90's teen movies and have always wondered when someone was gonna dissect the subtext of "Idle Hands", this might be the movie for you.
