This movie is soooo awesome. Possibly better than the first, definitely better than the last. Even though it's only 10 years old the effects hold up nicely. The story is good and definitely interesting. Del Toro is a master!

The original BLADE is a really enjoyable movie. BLADE II, on the other hand, is one of the best movies of its kind ever made. This is largely due, no doubt, to being directed by an actual filmmaker (the great Guillermo Del Toro) with a genuine interest in the genre, as opposed to a hired gun.
Del Toro brings heaping helpings of style, visual opulence, gothic overtones, a pinch of Cronenberg-ian body horror, and (perhaps best of all) loads and loads of creatively bloody gore. This is most definitely a throwback to the time when a majority of Hollywood action thrillers were rated hard R. In that tradition I wouldn't hesitate to place BLADE II very close to the upper…

The shine has faded a little over the years for Blade 2, which for a while I held up there as one of the finest comic-book action movies you could find. In these post-Avengers days however, it's shortcomings are easier to see - this still is when it works a pulse pounding movie, by far superior to its predecessor, but it's a touch uneven and evidence of a great director still learning his craft.
The sequel to Blade does numerous things right. Guillermo del Toro strips away the constant undertones of black power and racism that didn't fit Stephen Norrington's first film; he takes Blade out of the States and surrounds him by far stronger characters and he gains a…

"Top 20 Comic book/Graphic Novel selection"
"Top 20 Trilogies Selection""Forget what you think you know. Vampires exist. My name is Blade. I was born half human, half vampire. They call me, The Daywalker."
Blade II keeps the Wesley Snipes bad-ass persona and the kick, punch, shot, burn, kill, explode and slice kick-ass vampire flick from the 1st one and improve in all those departments (no wonder it is a Memo Del Toro film, I couldn't expect less).

Old Prague's hottest club is HOUSE OF PAIN. Built on top of a dilapidated church and completely isolated from sunlight, this future-gothic collision is populated by vampire ravers. This place has EVERYTHING: Cronenbergian body modding, H.R. Giger nightmarepeople, venom dagger punching gauntlets, hot blood tubs, and Norman Reedus just kind of doing stuff on the periphery until he "stops". So come on down this weekend. The bouncer's Ron Perlman, even if you give him the correct password ("I feel like hammered shit") he'll compact you into a trash cube with his fists.

Although it does pack more than it's fair share of cliches, it is a fun movie to watch, I love the soundtrack and the effects are very impressive for the time and most still hold up.

A terrible movie made well.

Good fun. The first 5 minutes are more creative than the entire first film!

Best of the franchise. It's also a remake of Blade Runner.

Only just watched this.......obviously it has aged and looks a bit dated in places. Overall a good action flick with some vampire violence. Snipes is excellent as the Blade character and the fight scenes are lots of fun. I felt the new enemy in this film was a bit of a let down and this could have been developed further. But, as an action film it does quite well.
