LOOK AT THESE REVIEWS??? MEN MEN MEN MEN MANLY MEN MEN. GTFO, I cannot fathom sitting in the same room as someone who did not like this movie. There was a guy at work who shrugged and said 'meh' when I questioned him. I lowered my knife, and thought "what is WRONG with you???" and "how am I going to continue with this business, knowing that you are one of my colleagues???". I quit there and then, after slamming my forehead on my hard wooden desk, to destroy any existence of the memory that just happened. This movie is fucking fantastic, because it is OWNED by funny women being THE FUNNIEST. I am sick and tired of seeing movies where slacker doodz get high and laugh about FARTS and EYE FARTS. And then Mila Kunis blows them? NO. IN REAL LIFE MILA KUNIS DOES NOT BLOW YOU.

This was supposed to be a romantic comedy I could enjoy, but it was crass and un-funny.
It felt like a Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan bit, with Kristen Wiig standing in for Meg Ryan. Except she swears a lot and has more intense meltdowns. Tom Hanks actually did show up while Wiig watched and cried over a scene from 'Castaway.'
Chris O'Dowd was the only bright spot, although that casting decision left me scratching my head. Maybe I liked him because he was the only sympathetic male character and because I liked him in 'The IT Crowd.'
The 'redemptive' process for Wiig boiled down to her actually trying to make her life better.
I'm going to find everyone who told me this was an awesome movie and stare at them furiously until they apologize.

What was initially sold by a deceptive trailer as an inviting female-centric equivalent to The Hangover is in fact anything but. While it certainly includes similar wacky, gross out humour and outlandish plot developments, Bridesmaids is little more than another shallow romantic comedy.
The biggest disappointment is that Bridesmaids provided a rare opportunity for the studio to mark an overdue departure from convention with an all-female lead comedy, but this innovation is never once realised. By desperately imitating the popular comedies of the time, it fails to establish its own identity.
Unfortunately, in years to come this won’t be remembered for the landmark film it should have been, but just another immediately forgettable comedy from a risk averse Hollywood. So, as it turns out, the trailer was correct – this isn't dissimilar to The Hangover.

Painfully overrated! I really wanted to like this and ended up loathing it. Nothing felt original at all! This felt like a Sex in the City movie to me(unfortunately I've seen both of them). It's funny, my wife wanted to watch this or Tangled. Me being the nice husband I am thought we should watch both.(She watched Drive with me last week so it was the least I could do). I was not looking forward to watching Tangled at all, but had been lokking forward to Bridesmaids for quite a while. I dug Tangled quite a bit. It was pretty charming and an easy watch. Bridesmaids was essentially a really bad Tom Hanks movie with F bombs and toliet humor.…

The chicks alternative to The Hangover. I really like the SNL gang, but sometimes their stuff is a little too, uh, on the nose.

Enough poorly done low brow humor that it drags down the whole film.

I don't know why I watched it. I mean it wasn't bad, but come on. Pretty silly movie.

FINALLY just watched this movie! Overall, I thought there were some really great performances (especially from Melissa McCarthy) and this movie really proved that women can be just as raunchy as men. The first half of the movie was EXCELLENT and SUPER funny. However, some scenes in the last 30 minutes of the movie could have been taken out because there were just pointless and boring, not to mention they took something away from the movie. I would still say definitely check this movie out if you haven't though because there are some serious laughs in it! (This movie is in the ranks with the first Hangover film.)

I had high expectations with this and got pretty disappointed. I just don't like the humour in this one, sorry.

Um... I like the movie poster?

Figures, like Cloud Atlas or Lawless, a movie comes around AFTER I record a Top 10 of the year podcast that would have made the cut.
This movie is great. Kristin Wiig is now just one of my favorite actresses. She is SO damn good in this movie.
These movie companies, they can't advertise a comedy to save their lives, man. If they conveyed how funny this movie REALLY was in those trailers, I would have tried to see this in the theaters.
Everyone is great in this movie. Maya Rudolph, Chris O'Down, John Hamm, Rose Byrne, Rebel Wilson, Matt Lucas, Ellie Kemper, Wendi McLendon-Covey, etc.
I laughed out loud a lot during this movie.
Melissa McCarthy's first scene made…

Bridesmaids opens in an unusual way for an Apatow produced film: funny, but not almost-falling-out-of-your-seat hilarity while someone is lampooned. Instead, we are immediately thrown into the life of Annie (Kristen Wiig) and her (ahem) charming life. And as most other Apatow films, what follows is a series of great comedic moments while an unfortunate character struggles to become someone everyone around them expects them to be.
The story is very simple; Annie is bestowed upon her the task of being her lifelong best friend Lillian’s (Maya Rudolph) maid of honour. Lillian assembles a bridal team of quirky ladies, including Megan (Melissa McCarthy), an overweight but confident soon-to-be sister-in-law, Rita (Wendi McLendon-Coey), a sex-starving mother, Becca (Ellie Kemper), a naiive…
