Basically this documentary was made because they discovered more footage from Bruce Lee's original Game of Death complete with Lee's production notes, dialogue and which cuts were to be used for the final film. With this they are able to put together what was probably going to be the end of Bruce Lee's film and it ends up being a complete 34 minutes. Robert Clouse's bastardized Game of Death 1978 only uses 12 minutes of this footage.
That's like the main event of the doc. The beginning of the film builds up to it by examining Lee's martial arts philosophy and Jeet Kune Do. Then moving on to his TV and film career and then finally we find out what…

I mainly watched it for the Game of Death footage, which is both amazing and saddening to see. Amazing, in that the fight scenes are some of the most incredible I've ever seen (Especially Dan Inosanto, and Kareem Abdul Jabbar) ... but saddening, in that only 30+ minutes survive from this phenomenal film.
Bruce never finished Game of Death. But from all his notes and the footage shot, it would have been IMO his best film. The plot was just phenomenal. I'm just thankful we have at least 3 full scenes, but I'm left imagining what could have been.
