Saw this in the cinema with my Dad. Probably wasn't the best idea.

This may not be the movie you need... But it is the movie you deserve.

Would have been funnier if Borat made a cameo and beat some sense into Bruno AND Sacha Baron Cohen for making such a dumb, forced film.

I don't care what anyone says or what they thought of this. But I was in tears of laughter several times during this movie. Not as funny as Borat, but I still laughed my ass off during this movie.

An attempt to recreate the critical success of Cohen's previous movie "Borat." The film is uninspired, essentially swapping out a confused man from Kazakhstan with a flamboyant homosexual. The comedy is mostly physical with some humorous quips spread throughout. The biggest problem I find with "Bruno" is that the charm of the previous movie just is not present here. I had a feeling that each one of Bruno's candid encounters were staged, which takes away all the magic of this movie. Normally I wouldn't compare two movies to another to make a point, but because Borat and Bruno are essentially the same movie with the protagonists switched out I find it is appropriate here. Whether you love or hate this film, you have to admit: Cohen's got a nice bod.
Also, talking meat spin.

Not great.
Some pretty funny moments (I am a sucker for high-camp) but mostly just really awkward. Missing the charm of Borat.

Going in to this movie I'd been prepared to be grossed out, repulsed, and disgusted. I'd also been prepared to laugh hysterically and be entertained. Alas, very few laughs were to be had and I was barely entertained. Granted if I'd never seen Borat I'd probably have thought this was funnier. The jokes and scripts seemed run through the word processor with "funny looking foreigner from middle east" replaced with "ridiculous gay stereotype from Austria".
I will say that Sacha Baron Cohen's commitment to character is impressive. Regardless of what ridiculousness he puts himself into he never backs down from an opportunity to make himself or others look completely foolish.

Teljesen szar. Kétszer nevettem az egész film alatt. Pedig lehetne ezt viccesen is csinálni, mondjuk a Diktátor az már sokkal jobb lett.

This sort of thing is getting a bit boring (and unfunny) now. There are some good bits but perhaps only half an hour or so.
