It is a nice combination of lots of humor and sex. And boatloads of oneliners (e.g. answer the phone with: This is city morgue: you kill 'm and we chill 'm).
And problems in a family, a pleasantly disfunctional family and all the attempts to keep it going. Many hints at sex, lots of talks about it, and even more so about relationships. Great variety there.
What strikes me is that it takes on serious subjects with a lightheartedness that is catching. Have the Americans gotten ahead of the Europeans making sex a subject that can be discussed in public? Sure seems like it.
