Troubling. Strange. It's been a long while, but I think I recall a few moments of enchantment. I think it works better on the stage.

This review reportedly contains spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Either the wine made this film uninteresting or it is just rather dull in itself; I cannot tell for certain nor do I intend to revisit for confirmation.

Franco Nero in tights, just a year after Django. It's a musical but the songs don't drive the story forward, they just underscore what has already been said. It's still enjoyable and well made.

Found this musical fascinating thanks to its incredible WB Blu-ray release. The scale of it, the cast assembled, and the beauty of its set pieces were all astounding, but the parallels between this single production and the studio itself were captivating.
