2009 Directed by Michael Moore
Synopsis
Ask not what your C.E.O. can do for you, but what you can do for your C.E.O.
Michael Moore's Capitalism: A Love Story comes home to the issue he's been examining throughout his career: the disastrous impact of corporate dominance on the everyday lives of Americans (and by default, the rest of the world).

[kap-i-tl-iz-uh m]
noun
an economic system in which investment in and ownership of the means of production, distribution, and exchange of wealth is made and maintained chiefly by private individuals or corporations, especially as contrasted to cooperatively or state-owned means of wealth.Thought I'd highlight that portion of the definition for you in case you think Michael Moore doesn't understand capitalism like the very angry, hostile top, "popular" review here on letterboxd (which goes into detail using the word "retard" or "retarded" in such an eloquent manner).
People can sit on their couch in America and rant and rave about Michael Moore, democrats, 'Murica, all while Fox News slips you "freedom" kool-aid and makes you more comfortable with that wool…

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA MICHAEL MORE YOU FUCKING RETARD. Please learn how capitalism works before your criticize it. If companies like Wal-Mart are actively seeking to let their employees die, then why are insurance companies continuing to give them life insurance that they're losing money on? Was Reagan actually a capitalist, or a supporter of economic regulation which favors the very rich? If you are looking for Moore to address these questions, and many others, it's not going to happen. Instead, we hear "LOL CAPITALISM IS RONG LOL JESUS DOSNT LIKE IT LOL SUM PPL R 2 RICH"
Also, Michael Moore doesn't even seem to know what capitalism is. Moore attacks the Federal Reserve for giving out favorable mortgage rates to their friends…

Does Michael Moore hate the USA? Well, I don't think so in general. He certainly hates a lot of things about the nation though, and it seems to me he has every reason to. A deeply unsettling documentary.
PS: To make it clear, I'm not anti-American, but would it matter if I were? No one with any sense here in New Zealand looks down on those who dislike our country. They have every right to think whatever they want about any nation.
PPS: I look forward to Moore's collaboration with Lars von Trier.

Probably the movie I like the most from Moore, it's weird I actually got this feeling of frustration/anger at some points and I really didn't expect it, as usual he keeps humor going throughout the movie and the combination makes it very enjoyable.

An entertaining if naive survey of its subject.

Michael Moore is back and at it again with yet another documentary on how America is awful. Seriously how do American's deal with this guy? As an outsider looking in, I'm Canadian, I think I would hate the guy for his constant country bashing when he claims he loves it so much.
With Capitalism: A Love Story Moore takes aim at the corporate America's impact on the life of everyday Americans and the rest of the world.
To be honest I have always like Michael Moore's documentaries with the exception of Fahrenheit 9/11. I always find them pretty funny, interesting and sometimes insightful as long as you walk into his movies knowing to take what he portrays as fact with…

It takes a while to get going, but is very eye opening and sad.

Most definately not completely accurate but entertaining nonetheless.
