If you were straight, pre-pubescent, and male in the late 70's, you had a crush on Valerie Bertinelli. Elsewhere in the late 70's, Joe Barbera of Hanna-Barbera cartoons fame, thought they could make live-action movies every bit as good as Goober and the Ghost Chasers. He was right. So, watch this for Valerie Bertinelli only unless you have a fetish for slow-motion dog running, Conrad Bain, or repetitive cartoon music without the cartoons.

I remember watching and loving this as a kid. We woke up the next morning and both our kids had rewatched it on Netflix/iPad while we slept (late). It was really cute. My youngest still watches this on a regular basis, and they've gone around treating their stuffed animals like C.H.O.M.P.S.
