Buy a fucking tripod!

This movie made me feel hollow. That's not necessarily a complaint.

This lost me a bit at the end - shouting instead of acting, the same actions over and over again instead of motivated conflict, and some pretty dodgy looking wire-work - but overall this is pretty solid.

I think this film would have been much better had it not tried to follow the found footage format. It just got so lazy and distracting, particularly towards the end.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Social outcast Andrew , his cousin Matthew and politician wanna be Steve gain superpowers after making an incredible discovery underground. They gain the power of telekineses and at first they use it for innocent pranks until things take a turn for the worse and their lives start spinning out of control.
A cast of unknown actors bring to life a entertaining and believable coming of age drama meet the X-men, even the found footage angle couldn't bother me much. Kudos for Dane DeHaan for an excellent performance.

dang hot superpowered kids!! I am usually not a fan of the LOOK WE FILMED THIS WITH A HANDHELD CAMERA IT'S SO REALISTIC approach, but in this film it worked pretty well!
also everyone is a babe :( -
A very nice spin on superhero- and found-footage-films with a touch of Katsuhiro Otomo's "Akira".

Found footage films have been run off the rails within recent years, so going into this, I just expected the same shitty approach. Instead, I witnessed what I think to be one of the most believable superhero origin stories I've seen in cinema.

duda: ¿quién "monta" la película? ¿cuál es la convención aquí con el espectador? y: ¿por qué no llevaron el guión al taller? ya tenían la chaqueta y algunas ideas, nada les costaba.

Awkward loner Andrew (Dane DeHaan, soon to appear as Harry Osborn in The Amazing Spider-Man 2) is invited by his more affable cousin Matt (Alex Russell, Bait, Carrie) to go to a party, to help cheer him up. Andrew has problems at home; his mother is dying of cancer, the cost of her medication has become prohibitive, and his dad is an abusive drunk. Andrew brings with him the bulky old video camera he's been using of late to document...…

I was not expecting this. I could not be more tired of "found footage" or "recording pov," but this film is so much more. While I lost track as to whether or not the vantage points in the film held true throughout, but by the end I didn't care.
What starts out kind of drab and generic builds and builds and ends in one of the best climaxes I've seen in a film in sometime. The last 20 minutes are must see material. This not so little film was a surprising gem.
