Personally, i think this movie is excellent. Yeah, it's fiction, but it is still a good story of a kid who finally comes out into the world. Has some hidden comedy as well.

I maintain that this is not a superhero movie, because this movie is about douchebags and not superheroes.

Divertida, interesante y atrevida.

Unlike many people, I don't have an inherent disgust with found footage movies. Not at this point anyway. I loved Troll Hunter, Paranormal Activity 2 and 3, Blair Witch Project, and Cannibal Holocaust (which I guess is only sort-of a found footage film). Anyway, the point I want to make clear is that I went into Chronicle without the "MAN FOUND FOOTAGE MOVIES WHAT'S THE DEAL" attitude.

Chronicle is an odd breed a movie where there are certain elements of…

Andrew (Dane DeHaan) is our conduit into the story, an awkward teen with family issues who starts to document his miserable life for prosperity. His cousin Matt (Alex Russell) is his only link to school social life and persuades him to go to a party in the woods. It is here they hook up with the schools popular kid Steve (Michael B. Jordan) and the trio have a strange encounter with something that looks like it’s used for transporting intergalactic…

Some words about Chronicle. I was looking forward this movie initially because I have a thing for superheroes movies, a.k.a. Batman, and then because the concept called me much attention, was original and with plenty of potential.
The movie came out, and with it the criticism, some good, but in general, the huge mass here (Brazil) was somewhat disappointed. I decided to wait a while and then draw my conclusions.

Chronicle is a film that would have been better served by abandoning the “found footage” gimmick. A little bit here and there to establish that Andrew was filming everything would have sufficed, and would have enabled the use of less-irritating cinematographic techniques for the rest. Still, even with that non-negligible criticism, Chronicle is a fine film. The characters, and the performances that the actors put in, help restore the believability that the “found footage” gimmick takes away. And the way…

It seems as though this movie would be doomed to fail just from the set-up: Mix the over-saturated super hero genre with the well-worn 'found video tape' sub-genre. Surprisingly, Chronicle manages to exceed all expectations and delivers a unique blend of both worlds while adding a bit of its own dark flair. I have to give credit to the writers for creating such complex, relate able, realistic characters and the actors (especially Dane Dehaan, who continues to impress) for really…
