Very good acting, sets and costumes, but the plot needed some work. The story dragged on and while it wasn't at all as melodramatic as someone might expect, I can't help but feel that the story only got more exciting right at the end, when Chanel had become a full fledged couturier.
We only got a few minutes of a more stern and collected business-woman, who made her way into a male dominated field by using both her eye for the aesthetic and a true philosophy of what female fashion should be like. A view at Chanel at the start of her career, rather than right before it, would've made a better movie, I think. -
liked it then but in retrospect thinking about all the nazi sympathising it feels weird

Big fan of Audrey so was looking forward to this, but have to say i thought it was a very dull film.Seemed like a poor TV drama,it was a struggle to watch to the end

nice to see audrey branch out into serious stern roles, shows her versatility

Oooh I just loved this film! This was beautifully made. Audrey Tautou strikes again, and was just gorgeous in this, as Ms. Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel. I could watch this again and again and love it every single time.

One of my favourite films. Audrey is sensational. Costumes, script, chacterisation and casting - c'est res fantastique.

Fantastic biopic (and pretty historically accurate). Audrey Tatou was very good, and Alessandro Nivola shows his incredible acting range and smouldering stare to perfection. I heart him so much! I learned a lot and found this to be very entertaining. What a strange creature Chanel was!

Iesaku.

A pretty insightful and interesting movie about how Gabrielle Chanel becomes Coco Chanel. Even if you're not super into fashion, this is still enjoyable
