Though for most people Connie and Carla may be nothing more than a silly and slightly modified remake of Billy Wilder's Some Like It Hot, from my point of view, it has enough charm of its own to make it work. Nia Vardalos and Toni Collette are the reason for this movie's charm; they were simply amazing and incredibly funny in their roles.

Kind of lame, kind of fun. Collette and Vardalos add a lot of energy here and essentially let you somewhat enjoy the pretty shabby time you are having.

Absolutely one of my favorite movies ever. Incredible singing, dancing, acting, and a heartwarming, witty, fun, and polished script. Can't recommend this one enough!

Funny moments.

Funny and charming, with a believable friendship at the center and some genuinely touching moments between Duchovny and his brother. It definitely helps if you like musical theater because there's quite a bit of it.

This movie is cute, light, and fun. Oh, with a dash of FABULOUS on the side! I'm female, but I love Drag Queen fashion... so to see a movie featuring two FEMALE Drag Queen's, I had to watch. Toni & Nia are also two of my favorite actresses, and they're a perfect due for this movie.
With that said, this movie is NOT recommended for "macho men". But if you love great hair, makeup, and style... then you may enjoy this.

This is the most insulting movie I have encountered so far. It's also a stinking pile of fecal matter.
