i feel like giving it even half a star is giving it too much credit. how did this get past the syfy channel. it bombed in theaters and it was only in theaters for 7 days. the theater count was 1,507 but there were about 6 people in each screening of creature and thats being generous. creature showed up out of nowhere like 2 weeks before it was put in theaters. i hated creature, the bad dialogue and bad acting. the fact that they go from having to sacrifice one girl to having to sacrifice another. incestual relationships and nudity for no reason just so your hypnotized from how bad creature actually is but it just makes you madder. i…

What a horrible, horrible film this is that somehow got released on 1500 screens. This is filled with protagonists that are more like "a**tagonists", to steal a word. Many of the heroes you end up hating. The practical creature is fine, but there's hardly any T&A or even gore; talk about not knowing the target audience. The story is a mess and the ending is the opposite of satisfying. Poor Sid Haig and Serinda Swan.

I don’t know what I was expecting with Creature, but this wasn’t it. The story has a twist, but not one that is explained well, and I was admittedly confused by some of the actions of the film. The acting was exactly what most have come to expect from low-budget horror films, but the editing was sloppy and amateurish. Cuts in a film should be invisible – natural – for the viewer, but the opposite is true here, and I was taken out of the film on more than a few occasions.
That said, though, there are a lot of ingredients here for horror fans to enjoy. The movie is filled with beautiful, naked women (including a fully nude skinny-dipping…

Still can't understand how this got a theatrical release, but having finally seen it, it's really not too far off from the quality of Wrong Turn or Hatchet. And in fact, it's kind of a mix of those two films both in level of quality and the type of movie it is. Plenty of rednecks, swamps and naked breasts. Anything new? Not really. If you are expecting a Syfy channel movie of the week with better effects and frequent nudity, then you will be pleased. A word of warning though: The Megan Fox look alike in this is the ONLY girl to not pop her top. The monster suit design is fairly unique and impressive, but for some reason they chose to film it (only sometimes and for unknown reasons) in shuddering slow motion. Don't know what they were trying to do there it just came across as annoying.

Pretty no nonsense creature feature. Fans of Sy Fy channel films will enjoy this as it is a step above that, but nothing more.

Poor backwoods creature-feature from Fred Andrews. Cult figure Sid Haig features as one of many stereotypical characters.

I really wasn't expecting much out of this film, thinking it to be another crappy SyFy original when I found it on NetFlix. However, I was pleasantly surprised by a well-shot and decently scripted horror movie. It falls a little short of being something totally unique, and maybe some of my good feelings just come from surprise, but I had plenty of fun with it.
The highlights are the special effects (which don't even suck!) and some great hillbillies. The protagonists are a mixed bag, acting-wise. Likely because all the females had to flash their breasts at one point or another. I still managed to care about them more than the usual douchebags. Just a little.
