For my money a more satisfying film than the original. "Creepshow 2" smartly shortens the running time and cuts the number of stories from 5 to 3, adding more color to each of the tales.

The Raft is awesome; definitely the standout in concept and execution.

As a kid when I saw that guy say "thanks for the ride lady" at the end of The Hitchhiker it scared the crap out of me. Not so much now. This chapter doesn't…

Well... after watching Creepshow yesterday I thought I'd give it's sequel a go. While I wasn't as blown away with the original as I'd hoped, it tickled me enough to warrant seeing the follow up.
Creepshow 2 is a portmanteau film split into 3 stories, unlike the 5 in the original.
The first, "Old Chief Woodn'Head" is a Golem-type story which actually wasn't half bad if you look past the "white dude painted red" nonsense. I can't for the life…

I saw this movie about twenty years ago and "The Raft" has been looming in my head ever since. That part is still good, if only for the heavy eighties airhead vibe, whereas the two other parts don't have much of a vibe at all.

The Indian part takes FOR FUCKING EVER to set up, spends TEN GODDAMN YEARS unfolding and the comeuppance bit at the end is monstrously unsatisfying. Total dreck, I hated it. The hitchhiker part, despite having…

The flawless sequel to the original masterpiece. Though the first one was a total of 5 short stories, this one is only 3 short stories which works a bit better I think. "Old Chief wooden head" is an awesome story about revenge. "The raft" is the best of the three and its about some sort of mass in a lake trapping kids on a raft in the middle of said lake and swollowing them if they try to swim away.…

The poor transfer and shoddy quality are the creepiest things here. And that someone is willingly wearing a Chargers jersey in the late eighties.

Worth watching for the The Raft segment. Think of an aquatic Blob and you're there. The other 2 segments that sandwich that are even more derivative, and not as successful, but the 80's campness saves it from being one to avoid.

The first and last vignette were long winded and forgettable, but the middle one, The Raft, was worth watching. Four college students swim to a raft in the middle of a lake only to be surrounded by a mysterious black pool of goo. I'm a big fan of Stephen King, who I believe wrote all three shorts, but these weren't even as good as an average episode of Tales From the Crypt.

Oddly, the second story is best -- what are you going to do in a raft surround by the Blob? Cop a feel!

I'd never seen this before. I loved the raft. The cartoon parts were really badly drawn.
