There are still some good & fun moments in Mick's world in this sequel, but the charm that permeated throughout the first Crocodile Dundee movie is largely absent this time around. The chemistry that comes naturally between real-life married couple Paul Hogan and Linda Kozlowski can never be taken away, but problems within the film's screenplay prevent them from creating enough endearing moments by themselves.
The main issue I have with this film is it's baffling choice to throw out the majority of the humor established in the first, and in place of it they put their focus on making an all-too-serious action drama, complete with boring drug lord villains who spout off laughable-in-the-wrong-way declarations. It isn't without some fun moments, but Crocodile Dundee II is sadly a minor disappointment.

John Cornell directs this fun sequel, mixing the familiar fish-out-of-water scenario with more adventure across America and Australia.

After escaping with their lives once, Mick takes Sue out to Walkabout Creek in Australis to liaise with his friends and fight the battle the Colombians want on hsi…

Passable entertainment but not as fun as I remember. Really only gets good once they move the location back to the Outback (and even then it's not as exciting as I remember). Until then the humor isn't as funny and it feels messy.
Some great character actors show up from time to time however. Like Charles S. Dutton and Stephen Root.

I'm sorry, are you telling me you don't get Comedy Central? Is that why you're making that face? I happen to find this film even more enjoyable than the first.

File it alongside Godfather II and Empire Strikes Back. You know why.

Segunda parte de las aventuras de Michael, en este caso le tocará defender a su querida Sue de unos asesinos, y los hace viajar Australia donde juegan al estilo dundee

Left me not wondering, "They should wait a good decade or more and send him to Los Angeles!".

Caught this on TV and it made me so happy! I love the first one as well and now am sort of obsessed with buying them. I must have watched these films over and over again growing up and it all came back to me the other night.
