The quack attack is back, Jack. This time it is on an international scale, and we get a story about how corporate greed is bad, but that throwing your allegiances behind a corporate owned team is the same as throwing your allegiances behind you country. Also, they use the Rocky 3 training method in this.

I might feel differently if I watched it again today, but I like to remember this as one of my favorite movies as a 13-year-old who loved to play roller hockey.

Critically slammed and commercially successful : the original ‘Mighty Ducks’ movie, was a typical Disney live action film, bringing comedy elements aimed at younger viewers with a moral meaning deep in its roots and an image and style found throughout. With high commercial success - both in the films audiences and also other markets such as merchandise, a sequel was green lit and released two years later. ‘D2: The Mighty Ducks’ is this said sequel, and like many other follow up pictures it is a film that focuses on only the good parts of the original film, maximizing their quantity in the films narrative but - also like other sequels - fails to strike a balance with a worthy narrative…

This isn't one of them. Well, on to D3 I suppose!

I love this sequel. One of my favs. The Iceland coach is a real bad guy. Most of the kids return and some new ones join in.

"This isn't a hockey game, it's a circus." - Coach Gordon Bombay, D2: The Mighty Ducks.
Rarely does a movie character sum up his movie so well. D2: The Mighty Ducks is a circus; a cacophony of conflicts, dopey characters, fighting, eccentricities, miscommunications, cliches, and inpenetrable goofiness. Here's a movie sequel that continues to beat a dead horse into the ground by offering the public a sequel to a Disney movie that can only be liked by reciting the word "nostalgia" or "nostalgic."
At this point, it isn't that The Mighty Ducks films are bad movies in the usual sense, but it's that they are so unambitious, uninspired, and bland that it makes it hard to accept them as "take…
