A quite terrible but unintentionally hilarious drama featuring Philip Michael Thomas as a musician who becomes addicted to PCP. In the version I watched, Thomas introduces himself and the film, in a badly shot opening talking about what an intense role this was.
But what follows is a badly scripted, ineptly made saga with mountains of cliches and bad hallucination scenes. During those, Thomas sees people as demons, but to us, they just look like extras wearing rubbery Halloween masks.…
An amazing masterpiece of oddness that spits in the face of auteur theory.
PMT's PCP trip scenes in this are to die for, while technically an anti drug PSA, clearly made for TV in the 70's then additional footage from the 80's spliced in to help promote PMT's new album, I guess that's just...just the way he planned it. All this combines to make one bats hit crazy experience that you will absolutely enjoy! Pass the Sherm!
