Wasn't terrible; but seriously how much story does a movie about racing cars and killing people have to have?

Nowhere near as terrible as it should be. The reduce budget and lack of CGI results in some nice car chases, especially the one through the streets of Cape Town (pretending to be the US). Plus it is pretty much non-stop action, although Luke Goss is no Jason Statham.
Like the first this has no sense of fun, which would go a long in way to make these films better.

It's ridiculous, impossible, there is no substance AT ALL, it's poorly acted and most of all: it's a load of crap

For a reboot of a classic...this was pretty entertaining.

Te ir visas klišejas kuru radošās potences tika izsmeltas jau pirms gadiem 30it. Te ir speciāls cietums kurā rīko savdabīgus uz dzīvību un nāvi TV šovus, te ir sliktās TV producentes, te ir asie džeki, te ir cietumnieces sievietes kuras izskatās kā no pornofilmām izkāpušas, te ir ar ložmetējiem un raķešu sistēmām bruņoti auto un vispār te ir pilnīgs bezsakars. Jāpiezīmē arī pirmā Death Race ar Džeisonu Stethemu nebija nekas labs, bet nu šis ir vēl viens solis atpakaļ. Dažas sejas gan te gana slavenas - mūžīgi slikto varoņu tēlotājs Šons…

After watching the third installment, thought it would be of benefit to revisit the second. I'm glad I did, as I had forgotten that it was a prequel. It has its strong moments, but even its silliest moments still land on a sincerely entertaining level.

As a prequal to the Death Race remake this movie deals with how the Death Races started in the first place and how Frankenstein was born. It has plenty of action and deaths and is a good look at how the events in the first film come about.

Yeah...a Death Race Movie when the Death Racing only starts 48(!) minutes in.
And Ving Rhames,Danny Trejo and Sean Bean are way to good to be in this. -
When will I be famous indeed.
