    Coop is surprisingly confident in a comedic role and Dietrich finds a sweet midpoint between her usual elegance and zany-jewel-thief devilry. Kind of autopilot in script and direction but the stars redeem it. [Portage Theater / 35mm]

    DESIRE is distinctly Lubitsch-esque. But compared with this morning's very funny TO BE OR NOT TO BE it is more predictable. But, it is well written and perfectly cast. Overall, I found it understated and charming. #see
