Detective K: Secret of the Virtuous Widow
In the year 1793, 17 years after Jeongjo became the King of Joseon, a series of murders occur. King Jeongjo believes the murders may belong to a conspiracy by government officials to cover up tributary payments. King Jeongjo then gives Detective K (Kim Myung-Min) a secret order to find out who is behind the killings.
Periodic comedy adventure Film but kind of childish tv series style..:) May be we are used to such detective movies and series. :)
korean blockbuster with a lot of cultural things ,also the main duo is surprisingly funny and strong together ,the story is simple as fuck but i have a thing where i love also practical effects and this movie is doing a great job!!
Its sense of humor wasn’t exactly on par with my thing, unfortunately.
entertaining; fun buddy chemistry between Kim and Oh; enjoyable but no memorable impact
Silly period piece murder mystery with lots of energy and fun action. I'm confused about the target audience though. It feels like a family movie for kids, but it's pretty confusing and not overly spelled out. It's also decently violent.
Part of the fun is the multitude of visual gags. They keep going back to the one where K and his sidekick are next to each other under threat, and after cutting from a closeup of the sidekick K has vanished. That is funny every time.
Seriously couldn't follow this film. Distracted and bored.
This Sherlock Holmes-like Korean detective comedy has cast of interesting characters to make its rather dull story endurable.
Película entretenida sobre un tipo de detective despistado, nada del otro mundo.
