Reviews of Dinner for Schmucks 2010

goddamn, carell is a loveable pain in the ass and rudd does the straight-man that good - jack lemon would be proud. fans of both actors films will be dissapointed since the movies tone and script is diffirent that what you used to see them in. It´s loaded with a bunch of funny supporting--characters and beautiful art direction - costumes. above avverage of recent comedys. allthough a remake wich I forgat to have seen before it still holds up it´s own weight.

Oh you have to watch it, some parts are a tiny bit painful but other parts are pretty darn funny with Germain from FOTC, actually awesome.

Vincent Van Gogh. Everyone said to him, "You can't be a great painter, you only have one ear." And you know what he said? "I can't hear you."
-BarryJay Roach, the man behind the camera for the Austin Powers films and the two first Meet the Parents, tries life without Meyers or Stiller. While it seems the film falls into either love it or hate it territory for most people on Letterboxd, I still enjoy the film a great…

While I've wanted to see Dinner for Schmucks since I first saw the trailer, my enthusiasm was muted slightly by the average reviews the film started getting last week. So with my expectations in check, I headed to the theater this afternoon not expecting much. And perhaps that's why I fucking loved the film. Dinner for Schmucks was very funny, and I found myself entertained for the nearly two hour runtime. Sure, the plot's both ridiculous and thin, but once…

As much as I like this film, every time I see it I'm left feeling very lonely. I think it's something to do with the score. I dunno.
This is such an endearing/feel good film though.

A little less funny than I thought it would be but still had some big laughs. I found the first half to be a bit slow with not too many laughs but the second half, especially at the dinner, the funny got ramped up. Steve Carell was funny as Barry and it was great to have him in the same scenes with Zack Galifinakas. I also liked how the artist could have easily been one of the schmucks brought to…

Very enjoyable comedy which I believe is based on a French film that has, remarkably passed me by - must look out for it.
I have to say it seems to have translated across to the US rather well; the majority of the film, in which an average guy, with a slightly unlikeable streak, tries to get ahead in business and learns both how to change his ways and about what really matters in life after being stuck with a…
