I found this movie hilarious. Completely underrated in the array of Rudd & Carell highlights. Galifianakis deserves recognition too.

"Dinner for Schmucks" starring Steve Carell and Paul Rudd is an enjoyable comedy and although it might not be for everyone, I still thought it was funny.

Paul Rudd stars as Tim, who works at an financial company. After Tim has a successful presentation at an office meeting, his boss (Bruce Greenwood) invites him to a "dinner for extraordinary people", in which many of the jerk executives invite many eccentric people who are unknowingly competing for the biggest idiot of…

I love this movie! Carrell plays such a dim-witted guy, you love how thick he is.

I very nearly didn't watch this. I would have missed a real gem of a comedy. A 'Hollywood' remake of the French film "Le dîner de cons", well written, well acted and giggle out loud funny.

Critically derided when it came out, but I never really understood why. Well, actually, I kinda do - as a remake of a French satire it lacks any actual satire, and there is a jarring dissonance to the way it invites us to laugh at the freaks on display whilst also telling us that it's bad to laugh. So I guess I get it. But moralistic issues aside, this film succeeds because it's very, very funny. The cast is stacked…

What would you do to get a major promotion job? That is the question that is posed to Tim, who works for a large financing company in the film Dinner for Schmucks. To get a promotion Tim is asked by the head of the company, Lance Fender, to attend an annual dinner invitees must bring an idiot for everyone to make fun of. After gathering some additional information and telling his girlfriend about the dinner he begins to have second…
