Don 2
2011 Directed by Farhan Akhtar
Synopsis
The Chase Continues...
In 2006, with the ever looming dangers of the underworld in Malaysia, Don broke the morale of his associates by infiltrating the gang with an alias and taking advantage of the enmity of Singhania & Vardhaan. He rose to become the undisputed King of the Asian underworld with his shrewd mind and merciless tactics. Now, having conquered the Asian underworld, Don (Khan) has his sights set on European domination. In his way are the bosses of the existing European underworld and all law enforcement agencies. The action shifts from Kuala Lumpur to Berlin as Don must avoid assassination or arrest, whichever comes first, in order for his plan to succeed.

A very disappointing sequel.

Farhan Akhtar you are still my favorite but i have to say this Don 2 was a SHIT!!!..it was a bit of every hollywood action movie i have seen soo far... Farhan Akhtar have the spark to change the indian movie industry...but, like Steve Job's say "ou have to mix both art & technology to change the world" but Don 2 lacked ART!!!!...& I LOVE SRK ♥ ♥ more when he has a cigaret in his hands...

A cool beginning gets bogged down in a cloudy German setting, and what seems like it'll be a fun Eurocrime caper turns into a tiresome heist/Mission Impossible knock-off. Priyanka Chopra spends far too much time sidelined, though SRK is still fun in the role. Action is OK when it finally comes but there could have been more songs to liven it up (only one).

This review reportedly contains spoilers. I can handle the truth.

"Don 2" trades the humor and warmth of the first film to become a fast-paced, unrelenting action-thriller that hops all over Asia and Europe. The cinematography and action sequences are a visual delight, and Shah Rukh Khan is as entertainingly megalomaniacal as ever, but without the colorful dance numbers and celebration of humanity that have come to characterize Bollywood movies for me, "Don 2" comes across a bit cold. Hindi films are resembling Hollywood productions more and more; perhaps "Don 2" is a sign of what they could lose in the process.

Sure its formulaic, but doesn't take itself too seriously, & with a little bit of Bollywood makes for a light but agreeable action-thriller.
-
Visually appealing but a mishmash of a plot full of loopholes, bad music and some very over the top acting.

Not quite as good as the first one, but it's still fun to watch. Good action sequences, a few very nice ideas, and if you like Shah Rukh Khan, you'll like "Don2" anyway. I was a bit disappointed that this second installment of Don almost doesn't feel like a Bollywood movie at all. -
