The Duke and John Ford collaboratiing, nuff said - throw in Lee Marvin and you have a true classic. Wayne being Wayne makes this movie. The interplay between he and Marvin is an absolute delight to watch and some really big stars play bit parts which lifts the whole movie. One of my very favorite Duke movies as he dominates everything and everyone.

I've always enjoyed the work of John Ford. This is not his best work, but it's a jovial adventure, prefect for a nostalgic afternoon matinee.
