Had to hit pause a couple of times to appreciate some of the subtler sight gags, like the rampant spelling errors from the lead character's obnoxious ex-girlfriend ("I'm leeving you"). It's got the feel of Broken Lizard stuff, but I found the cast funnier and it goes for charming instead of gross-out. That Tom Cruise impersonator was spot-on and Fabio made my day.
This was pure and utter SHIT! Unfunny, sloppy editing, and horribly cliched characters. The best part was the Tom Cruise impersonator. Only watched this turd for my fave Magician, Olivia Taylor Dudley, as I knock off another movie from her filmography.
It's easy to go through life only watching acclaimed pictures, but it certainly narrows your appreciation of filmmaking as a whole if you restrict yourself to 4 and 5 star pictures. After a while, it feels like movie making can't be so hard after all, which is why I like to throw something different into the mix every so often.
After seeing the poster and trailer for 'Dumbbells' last year, I knew I had to see this film. Not because of expectations of jokes galore, an original plot or even because I thought it would be a good way of spending 90 minutes - I simply had to know if it was going to be as bad as I imagined.…
just before all my brain cells died I switched it off

"It's crazy how life takes us in directions we least expect, huh?"
I only watched this because of Taylor Cole. It's about a gym reality tv. The concept is quite unique and also really stupid.
2014.
American comedy.
Low budget crap.
Washout college basketball star works at gym.
Gym is home to all sorts of misfits.
Amateur production on all levels.
Horrific editing, bad acting, no plot.
Somehow some bigger names appear in this.
Andre, Milonakis, White.
This was just bad, boring and a waste of time.
HORRIBLE.
BIN IT.
“Open 25/8 because 24/7 is for pussies”
It’s always fun watching something I wouldn’t normally come across on my own so when (to my surprise) I was asked if I wouldn’t mind reviewing this of course I jumped at the opportunity….
Set in 2012, When the new owner of a West Hollywood gym (Hoyt Richards) makes the announcement he plans to film a reality show, trainer and ex Basketball legend, Chris (Brian Drolet), leads a rebellion among the staff.
This is a nice, easy watch which you won’t have to think about too much.
It’s a general reminder (in a light hearted way) that adulthood can be damn hard!
Mostly worth it for “not Tom Cruise” (omg he was perfect! More of him please 🤣) and Fabio’s hair…although there are some fun and genuine lol’d moments
As the film progresses ... the hilarity does not escalate along with the outrageousness. Los Angeles Times review.
A grim reminder about what life really is lol
Bad accents (including Fabio) and corny jokes, but for a low budget movie, it's not bad.
Oh and the chick with the bad Hispanic accent is hot.
It was okay at first but I lost interest halfway in and it just seemed to really mellow out and stagnate. Maybe there's some fun here if you can get into it but, it lost me.
