EuroTrip
2004 Directed by Jeff Schaffer
Synopsis
No actual Europeans were harmed in the making of this film.
Scott Thomas is reluctant when his longtime cyber-buddy from Berlin, Mieke, suggests they meet face-to-face. But when he discovers his pen pal is a gorgeous young woman, Scott embarks with his friends on a trip across Europe. On their wild journey toward Berlin, the buddies meet zealous football hooligans, an overly affectionate Italian and travelogue maven Arthur Frommer.

Not exactly a quality film, but my mates and I saw it when it came out (we were 14/15) and have loved it ever since. We still quote it constantly.

FAQs
Is that who I think it is?
Yes it is. -
I've seen this so many times, and it never gets old. An absolutely ridiculous plot, stupid dialogue, tasteless humour and a typical teen soundtrack all come together to form one of the most entertaining and fun teen comedies of all time. It's stupid, but it's the good kinda stupid.
Also, Matt Damon's cameo is genius. "Scotty doesn't know that Fiona and me do it in my van every Sunday."

A film consisting of every single stereotype about Europe and makes American's look ignorant off every other country. Offends just about everyone.

Šī ir viena no tām filmām, kuru tu ienīsti ar katru reizi arvien vairāk, kad to skaties, bet tāpat joprojām skaties! :))
Aina, kur galvenais varonis Parīzē, gaidot rindā, lai tiktu uz Luvru (ja nemaldos), sacenšas, kaujas ar to robotcilvēku.....es zvēru, tā ir mana visnīstamākā, visnesmieklīgākā aina, ko jebkad esmu redzējis kinofilmā.
Un es ļoti labi atceros, ka kinoteātrī blakus sēdošie locījās smieklos, mētājot kājas pa gaisu. Es nepārspīlēju - kājas pa gaisu. Wow.

Far better than it looks, but it's still a little too episodic for my tastes. It's basically just a handful of sketches loosely connected, but there are a lot of laughs spread throughout. I only realized recently that Jacob Pitts from Justified is Cooper in this, which completely blew my mind.

It never gets old: The amount of featured clichés Americans supposedly have about Europe is breathtaking and extremely funny, even more so being German and thus understanding the German spoken parts.
EuroTrip doesn't take itself or anyone seriously and manages not to step over the line of stupidity too often or at leats it does in a charming kind of way. But maybe I am misdirected as it is a classic from my teenage years for me and the film actually sucks... Who knows? I don't teally care! -
Guilty pleasure. Particularly enjoy Vinnie Jones' crew of Sheena Easton loving soccer hooligans, Robot Man, Matt Dadmon, and Fred Armisen's pervy train rider.
Noticed this go around: The entire plot is put in place because the lead character is such a homophobe that he tells off his long time friend for a gay pass at him which he has misread.

Não importa o quanto seja tosco ou preconceituoso, é engraçado pra caralho! Sempre bom rever o filme, os estereotipos e todos os peitinhos inclusos.

I don't know exactly what it is that EuroTrip has that, at least for me, makes it so hilarious, memorable and original. Of course, the European setting helped it a lot to be so cool to watch. Its offensive humor didn't bother me a bit, and in fact, beneath all its nudity and crude humor, there was a clever script that made it a fast-paced comedy that ranks amongst the best teen flicks made in the past 15 years or so. Kudos to its four leading actors who did such a good job in it.
