Good, but some creepy as hell human-zombie relation undertones.

I never would have watched this movie had a friend not recommended it. I lumped it in with the cheesy horror b movies. But it really surprised me. It was really different and funny! If you like zombies and quirky movies than you'll like this! Never judge a book by its cover! Thanks Justin!

Fully and successfully committed to its conceit, "Fido" presents tonally light-hearted zombie story. The film's dark edges are mostly implied, so the proceedings are whimsical as opposed to frightening; however, the allegorical, satirical, and thematic pretensions of "Fido" are worn clearly on its sleeve.

I watched Fido basically due to word of mouth and it's definitely a different take on the zombie genre and worth seeing in my opinion.

I caught this on IFC a while back and thought it was pretty funny. Ive been trying to find it so I can watch it again. An oddly endearing movie, and probably the most heartfelt movie centering around a zombie you will ever find.
I wait its the only one....

Billy Connolly is good but the movie just isn't that funny.

Overallegorizing the deeply subtextual zombie genre only makes this would be comedy feel overly labored. The best father is a dead father? Guy Maddin would be proud, at least...

"Bill, get your own funeral. Timmy and I are going zombie."
I love zombie films and I am always in for some quirky love story. I thought Warm Bodies was a nice try to combine those two. But that was before I knew Fido existed. Foolish me! This is definitely the better quirky-zombie-love-story out of the two.
Its style reminds me of Pushing Daisies. The colors, situations, the way of acting: it all works perfectly with the plot. It isn't even that funny (I never even came close to 'laughing my head off'). But just as I loved the pie-maker from the very first slice of pie, I couldn't help myself but to love the six-foot tall rotting zombie named Fido.

Not a lot really happens in the film. Ive just finished watching it and i cant really remember what the main story line was or if indeed it actually had one. It's all a bit... meh. Interesting to see Billy Connolly in a different kind of role, wouldn't have noticed it was him at first. Not a lot to hold an adults attention, definitely for a younger age but i still can't imagine kids being too into this.
