Robin Williams is "Robin Williams" in this Robin Williams comedy featuring Robin Williams being Robin Williams. There's a green bouncy thing too. I... didn't like it. Kids might, though.

Stupid, but fun-stupid; the movie makes no sense, but who cares? THERE'S BOUNCY GREEN GOO.

OK, so everyone is amazed that this mad scientist has created a bouncy ball of green goo, but nobody is the least bit interested in the flying, talking, super intelligent fucking robot that is knocking about with him all the way through the film? Yeah right.
I have no idea why, but for some reason today I got the strange urge to watch this film. I had it on video when I was a kid and liked it back then but it has definitely not aged well. It would have been more fun if at the end it turned out that Robin Williams had just been sat in his basement tripping his balls off for 90 minutes.

Another dreadful film I took my brother to while growing up.

What a sad, strange little movie. Too boring for adults and too creepy for children.

It's the kind of film that may be slightly entertaining to tiny kids, but anyone else will feel left out as it's boring, slow, and incredibly lifeless. What could be a film with cinematic magic is instead dead in the water, and it's a shame because it could have been a great…

Enjoyable and harmless children's film. Robin Williams is Robin Williams. More creative and intelligent than a lot of other options for family friendly movies. Great remake of The Absent Minded Professor but you will probably enjoy the original more depending on whether or not you like the silliness of Robin Williams mixed with the absurdity and invention of Pee Wee's Playhouse.
