This is the music intro, its pratically everywhere in the internet. It has been buried and returned as a cult, as a musical comedy its genious, and with gossip flying everywhere that the second movie would be made i had to watch this again.these are the lyrics for your pleasure:

Trippy live-action cartoon inspired by the 1930s, Satan, and the music of Oingo Boingo.

Colorized is the only way to see this movie.

How anyone can give this film anything less than 5 stars is completely beyond me.

Regardless of how you feel about “Forbidden Zone” there is no denying that Arrow Films has released one heck of a Blu-ray. There are two versions of the film presented with outstanding audio and video along with a great deal of extra features that answer a lot of questions about the production without ruining anything in the process. Fans of the unique look and feel of Jonathan Vera’s “South Of Heaven” will certainly see similarities in how a movie can be taken to a new level by bringing an original vision to storytelling. “Forbidden Zone” is the type of movie that gets popped in late at night when you are just a little tired. The quick runtime will transport viewers…

Theatre of the weird that elevates itself with a joyous spirit.
The Reverence: Hard to narrow down. The jockstrap duo who have a sense for noise. The Princess who possesses uninhibited glee. Frenchy, who features a pension for overacting. The paper windows. Danny Elfman's shoe tapping devilish performance. The Queen's inexplicable expose.
The winner is King Fausto's running jump along the dinner table into the genitals of the Queen.

I used to "think" I loved this film, but that was only because I am an Oingo Boingo fanatic.
I appreciate the editing and the Monty-Python-esque animated sequences.
Overall, a fun movie to watch while drinking and spending time with friends.

Perfect, for what it is. Sometimes strange, offensive, vulgar, hypnotic, and totally unique. The animated sequences alone make this film worth watching. The music is great, the sets are homemade and awesome. The acting is NOT great but it shouldn't be, not for this. It was trying to capture the vibe of the stage show from the Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo. Almost like a live action cartoon from the 1930s, complete with frog creatures and blackface. This film was boycotted when it came out, but I think that's unfair. They were only replicating the weird and offensive aspects of vaudeville. If you can get past the odd stereotypes then you are in for a crazy and wild ride unlike anything else out there. I love it!

γερμανικός εξπρεσιονισμός meets John Waters & Walt Disney, σε dream sequence. όμορφο.

Cult in big letters all over it.

A lot of the music is aped, the performances are deliberately exaggerated and the jokes are hellbent and inappropriate but it is glorious. The insane/creative genius put on is impossible to deny.
And yeah, the original music pieces are actually really good. The Elfmans know how to worm into your ears.
