Kevin Kline as a sexy, dangerous French jewel thief?
Yes, please! Rom-coms are my Achilles heel and this one pushes all the buttons. Off-the-wall meet-cute? Check. Screwball plot twists? Check. Hero/heroine couple who resist the inevitable? Double check.
We had this on VHS and I just loved every time Kline would utter "Oui".

Any film ending with Luis Armstrong singing always seems to be a hit... I love this film. Kevin Kline is particularly good

I must have seen this one like a thousand times. Never on purpose. It just always happens to be on tv. Sweet and funny, one of the bests of its genre.

Yeah. Just—don't ask.

Deplorable cinema.

It's not just another chick flick! Well ok, maybe it is, but it’s one of the best I have ever seen. French Kiss is an under-appreciated romantic comedy starring Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline. So what if Meg Ryan is always playing the same character, in this movie it works. OK, Kevin Kline's French accent is...dubious, but the overall sweetness of the movie, overcomes small faults like that. And of course, the fact that is mostly set in France doesn't hurt. The scenery in the countryside is breathtaking. This is definitely a classic movie in my mind!

Kline tries to do a french accent in this weak rom com.
