106 minutesThis was a first time watch, and I remember hearing some good things about it, and considering I was a fan of the original, I was hoping it would be great. But overall, I think it was just a good movie, a typical modern horror movie, pretty people and mediocre violence and gore. At least I felt that way about it.
The adaptation from the original is good, it didn't bastardize the original. I just felt that it wanted to be the gritty and extra dark horror film, but in order to attract a larger audience, they only stepped up to the line, and failed to cross it into the world…

"This is real. He's a real monster, and he's not brooding, or lovesick, or noble. He's the fucking shark from JAWS. He kills, he feeds, and he doesn't stop until everyone around him is dead."
Sometimes a film can surprise you, the 'Fright Night' remake, is certainly one of them. They stick to a simple concept and the director did not try to create a complex film, but, one that went to the point and use the charisma of the actors, and boy, did that paid off.
Colin Farrel was perfect for the role of the villain, the guy was having fun, and that only help the film, is such a simple concept, if you want a great good vs…

After all the terrible horror remakes we've had to suffer in the last 10 years or so, this one is actually pretty good. Colin Farrell delivers here unlike his dull turn in Total Recall.

Rock solid during some moments. Painful CGI in others. Casting was fine all around and I appreciate how the movie pays homage to Tom Holland's original without totally ripping it off. Add this one to the list of remakes that work.

Surprised myself by how much I enjoyed this. I've never been a huge fan of Colin Farrell but must admit he was a bad ass Vampire.
If you haven't seen this one give it a go.

I enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed seeing the first one when I was little.
One of the few reboot thingies that seemed to work

pretty good horror film. haven't seen the original so i can't speak to how it compares. good performances. surprising comic parts, especially with David Tennant. i enjoyed the FX for the most part, though the CGI tended to get a little annoying. Colin Ferrell is a sexy, devilish motherfucker in this. some truly suspenseful moments with him. i liked how it wrapped up; quite a unique kill.

Much much better than I thought it was going to be. I'm a big fan of the vicious, non romantic vampire.

could it have been worse?

Este es un buen ejemplo de un buen remake. Divertido, sangriento, bien realizado y con un buen casting. Una grata sorpresa de esas de HBO a la 1 AM.

It was pretty interesting, don't know how it stands up as a remake.

Manages to be different from the original, while still keeping the major plot elements that made the original so great. Simultaneously, it's equally as entertaining.
But I have to say, Christopher Mintz-Plasse wasn't nearly as good as the original Ed.

The third act problems were harder to ignore on rewatch but this film is still mostly a good time.

david tennant's rendition of russel brand in twilight was interesting.

So underrated but so good.
