Fun with Dick and Jane
2005 Directed by Dean Parisot
Synopsis
After losing their high-paying corporate jobs, Jane and Dick Harper (Jim Carrey and Téa Leoni) turn to robbing banks to maintain their upwardly mobile standard of living in this action-comedy based on the 1977 film of the same name. The couple's hold-up act begins as a desperate measure. But before long, they're actually enjoying it -- and now it's getting to be a habit.

Another hilarious Jim Carrey movie.

About as average as you can get.

The character dynamic is pretty good. The humour and acting is pretty decent.

Maybe it's because I was forced into watching this, but this was just awful.

On a re-watching, I discovered this film is actually a good deal better than I remembered. It's not outstanding, and very silly, but it really made me laugh quite a bit, and I definitely enjoyed watching it the whole way through, so I'm updating my rating from one to 3 stars!

Saw it on tv. Too lazy to switch. Everytime you see a fuckin' Baldwin you know it's gonna be the new "worst movie ever". I really miss Ace Ventura.

I remembered this film as being really funny, years back.
I must have misremembered, because while there were a few jokes and a couple of vague pokes at the global recession, the film didn't really have much of a plot beyond "Hey we're poor, hey we robbed some convenience stores, hey we made our old boss pay out severance"
One for Jim Carrey fans only, I suspect.

5.5/10
The first 20 minutes or so of Fun with Dick and Jane were funny, clever, touching and absolutely great, but once the characters started breaking bad, the movie lost charm and wit. Generally speaking, Jim Carrey and Téa Leoni did good jobs though, but the movie's lack of consistency couldn't help it rise above the category of average.

Humoristiselta kantilta kuvattua komediaa lamasta ja talousahdingosta.
