Saw the Remake just a few months back, and it was passable but never seen this 60s original, while they are different at times, main idea of plot is in place which i liked, Caine is a good watch here in his 60s heyday as is Machlaine. a enjoyable caper with nice touches when needed and that 60s thing.

Very entertaining caper with likable performances by Caine and especially MacLaine.

Electric little heist film, powered by the chemistry of the lead actors. Not as many twists and turns as I'd been lead to believe, but I can't fault a movie for what it isn't.

This review reportedly contains spoilers. I can handle the truth.

An entertaining heist film. Starts out very seriously and then inexplicably reboots itself as a comedy about 20 minutes in. Michael Caine is cool as ever and Shirley MacLaine is quite adorable. It looks like the Coen Brothers are currently remaking this with Colin Firth and Cameron Diaz. I'm really interested in seeing their take on it.
