I think the talented Miss Seyfried might want to consider a change of agent.

For the first six minutes, Gone has no dialogue. I was missing the dialogue. I was all like, where has the dialogue gone? Then this happened.
GENERIC COP #1 has finished telling GENERIC COP #2 about a girl’s serious psychological problems.
GENERIC COP #2: Maybe she should move in with me. I like them a little crazy.
GENERIC COP #1: You better get your mind straight, Hood. If you want to chase split-tail, you’d better have been a fire fighter. You feel me?
I miss when there wasn’t dialogue.

I quite like Amanda Seyfried as an actress but I wish she had a better track record when it came to picking film projects. She’s either starring in insufferable romantic-comedies or forgettable thrillers such as Gone making it very hard to enjoy her work. She should at least be commended for still rising above the lacklustre material and delivering a solid and professional performance. Here she plays a woman convinced her sister was kidnapped by the same man who took her a year earlier yet nobody seems to believe her - Is she mad? Are the police just incompetent dullards? Is it all just a convenient way to try and add some suspense to a story bereft of tension? The…

Only reason I've watched this, is because my girlfriend tricked me into believing the new Batman movie was playing in our local theatre. Turned out it wasn't and thus let my girlfriend pick a movie. Big mistake...

A bland thriller that really makes you wonder if Amanda Seyfried's character really is crazy or if you're just crazy for watching the film.

Kiss the Girls, I mean Gone, isn't anything special despite starring my future ex-wife Amanda Seyfried. If I could just rate her I would give this movie 5 stars, but to be fair, it's an average movie with an ending that try to surprise, but I just didn't care. Much like this review that you don't care to read.

A good thriller but often had me frustrated with Amanda Seyfried repeatedly putting herself in obviously dangerous situations.

actually pretty good. it did keep my attention for most of the movie. you kind of had a feeling like maybe shes imagining this and its all in her head like Shutter Island, since Amanda Seyfrieds character was in a mental institution and her abduction. so who knows what they could have thrown in with that. or that the whole time she was wrong with who she thought may have kidnapped her sister.
though the twist was good, it felt like the build up was a little off. but who am i to say, im not the one creating movies and making money for them.

The twist is that there is no twist.

This was ok. Quite liked the way they tried to make something a wee bit different. A bit predictable but reasonably well made.

A fairly decent thriller, but nothing special.

One of the worst miscastings ever,Amanda Seyfried is just not right for this film at all. Gone is one of those annoying films that seems to be so arrogant in the belief if they can get a big name to star in their film then everything will just fall into place.
Boring, uninspired, poorly scripted and filled with woeful characters don't bother unless you enjoy being bored to tears.

Leidlich spannender Thriller. Die 94 Minuten Spielzeit ziehen sich wie Kaugummi. Schwache Darsteller, wenig Spannung. Zum Vergessen.
